Locally produced heat/fuel briquettes, made from hardwood and coffee by-products using extreme pressure to form a block.
The sawdust is sourced from local furniture & cabinet maker workshops, meaning that our briquettes are almost entirely made from kiln dried hardwood. With a moisture content of only 4-10% our briquettes produce far less tar and ash than logs at 12-20%, as well as burning much hotter than traditional logs.
With moisture being the cause of smoke, pollutants and tar, they are perfect for wood burners, wood burning stoves, multifuel stoves, open fires etc.
How are they made?
Our briquettes machine uses pure compression to bind the wood fibres together, no bonding agents or chemicals are added. Watch a brief video of the briquette production.
How are they Eco-Friendly?
Being eco-friendly is important to us. The sawdust we source is a waste by-product that would often end up in a landfill. We recycle a variety of plastic sacks from both the animal feed and coffee industry, always asking for you to either return or re use the sacks. The briquette machine is powered by renewable energy, with the vision of eventually producing them with solar powered energy, making our briquettes more Eco-friendly than most.
What can they be used for?
The briquettes can be used all year round. Ideal for keeping cosy indoors during the winter days in your log burner, stove, open fires or, alternatively, you can spend longer in the garden on summer evenings using them for your firepit or chimenea. The briquettes ensure the fire lights quickly and they burn more consistently than logs producing very little smoke, pollutants and ash.
